Let’s “face” it: everyone thinks about their face. Everyone looks in the mirror every day and most will see something that they wish was different. Something about their face that they could change. And up until recent times, noticeable changes in your face were not possible without a really big expense and a certain amount of pain, and healing time. Surgery has always been the solution for a truly new, younger look. But that has now changed.
Have you heard of the Vampire Lift® or the Vampire Facial®? BioViveMD Probably offers these revolutionary procedures that achieve the improved, youthful look of a facelift or partial lift, without the surgery and healing time. And at a fraction of the cost of cosmetic surgery as well. We’re talking about PRP therapy here – and this is explained on the PRP page of our website. Platelet rich plasma works wonders for your skin, not just on your face but anywhere on your body. It is used to repair and rejuvenate damaged tissue and cells.
The Vampire Facelift addresses three aspects of your face: Shape, Color, Texture
All three are improved by the special injection that combines Hyaluronic Acid with growth factors from your own blood (Platelet Rich Plasma is separated out of your blood. Only 2 or 3 teaspoons of blood is needed for this procedure). Those who are trained in the Vampire procedure have very specific knowledge and training in application of PRP to the face. Patients need to be cognizant that only trained practitioners are listed on the Vampire Facelift official website.
The Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™ combines the science of hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm, with the body’s natural ability to create new tissue. The result is a more youthful looking you. The procedure utilizes Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) technology to activate stem cells in the skin. Once activated, the stem cells produce new tissue, and the skin becomes smoother and firmer, like it used to be when you were younger. Hyaluronic fillers are incorporated to offer support for the rejuvenated skin and restore volume to the face in areas where it has been lost.
The procedure was created and researched by Dr. Charles Runels, and only a limited number of physicians are trained, certified and licensed to offer the Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™. Dr. Lai has been trained in the science, technique, and artistry that make the Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™ a revolutionary tool in a comprehensive facial aesthetics program.
When we are young, our skin is firm, smooth, and has volume extending away from our facial bones. Our skin is active and in a state of new tissue growth. As skin cells and tissue become damaged, our body responds and rapidly replaces it with fresh new tissue. However, as we age, damage to skin accumulates and our ability to regenerate tissue slows. The sources of damage are varied and include the sun, environmental toxins, and poor nutrition. If we have not taken diligent care to protect our skin and maintain it with necessary nutrients, it will not remain healthy. Even if we have done this, natural aging may still take its toll. Skin loses collagen to keep it firm, elastin to keep it supple, and blood vessels to keep a uniform, vibrant color. Skin develops wrinkles, collapses, and droops.
How It Works
The name, Vampire FaceLift®, may seem a little bizarre and may cause some apprehension. However, once you know how the procedure works, it will make a little more sense. The Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™ uses growth factors and hormones found in your own blood to stimulate new skin tissue growth. Before the procedure begins, a small amount of your blood will be drawn into a tube. The tube will be placed in a centrifuge, which will spin the blood at a high velocity and separate plasma and platelets from other blood components. We are left with PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets contain a variety of growth factors and hormones, which are natural chemicals produced by our body. When released, they instruct stem cells in the body to produce new tissue, such as collagen, elastin, blood vessels, and other connective tissue. So once we have obtained the PRP, the platelets are activated to release their growth factors into the plasma. The plasma is then gently injected into your skin, where it stimulates new tissue growth like you used to do when you were younger. Prior to injecting the PRP, fillers are injected under the skin. This provides volume to the face and support for the PRP to work.
Although PRP and the Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™ are relatively new to facial aesthetics, PRP is not and there is a wealth of research supporting its effectiveness and safety in a variety of medical applications. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) was introduced in 1987 for use in open heart surgery and today is used in other areas of medicine including sports medicine, orthopedics, and dermatology. Since your own blood is being used, side effects are rare and there have been no side effects associated with PRP therapy reported in the medical literature.
In addition to the full Vampire Facelift, BioViveMD also provides injectable fillers that plump up certain areas and correct problems such as frown lines, crows feet, laugh lines, and creases in the neck. Of course, these injections and all of our treatments are done under strict medical supervision and the highest standards of cleanliness and quality equipment. Dr. Kane Lai and his associates have extensive training and certification procedures. We welcome any and all questions and we always discuss the procedure thoroughly with our clients.
Botox is made from a neurotoxin, and is a highly popular fill known for reducing/removing frown lines and crow’s feet. It is also used in other areas such as the mouth (laugh lines) and neck.
Juvederm is also used to smooth lines, as well as to fill in the hollows under the eyes or the hollows of the cheeks. It’s also applied to patients with acne scarring and can be used, like Botox, to plump up the lips.
Artefill is a collagen-based filler used for lines and wrinkles. Artefill has been used for a decade throughout Europe and Canada, and was called Artecoll. It was specifically designed for treating the lines running from the nose down past the mouth.
Radiesse is an injectable filler whose principal component is synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite. This is a biocompatible material that has been used in medicine for more than 20 years.
While there are similarities in all of these face-rejuvenating fillers, they each have their own characteristics, ideal applications, and subtle differences. This is why Dr. Lai and his team speak to every patient thoroughly to discuss your choices and help you decide what product you prefer.
Please allow us to also explain that this is not a quick, nonstop solution. Our business is centered around the concept of ongoing rejuvenation and a commitment to anti-aging. Our clients progress with us. There are practitioners that take a brief course and limited training and then offer services like ours. They cut rates, along with their time and dedication to their clients. We refuse to cut corners to play price war with our competitors. We would rather be known for extremely high standard of care.
